Other activities in and around Oberon include: mushrooming (in season); fossicking; trout fishing; horseback riding and bush walking at Evans Crown which you can see from your room.  RoosterHill is only two hours drive to the wine and food region of Mudgee, even less to Orange and only two and a half hours from Goulburn and three to Canberra – along The Tablelands Way experience
